Comprised of Highly Talented, Dedicated and Motivated dancers. Ballet Royale Members are currently employed in dance and dance related endeavors world wide. Audition for Royale Concert Dancers is open only to students of Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland. This is a competition team.

This year we will begin training members of a high level performance/competition team throughout the year. Students who are accepted by audition to perform with us will dance in large and small groups. team members may also be invited to dance a solo role or duet.

Only the students who are taking the summer course at Ballet Royale should audition as there will be evening rehearsals during summer school (August 13 - 24) in preparation for 2012, 25th Gala Celebration Held at the Jim Rouse Theater the weekend after Thanksgiving 2012. (Dates & Times TBA)

Royale Concert Dancers Summer School

We have the pleasure of adding some repertoire to the Royale Concert Dancer's during the month of June. Ms Rachel Kennelly will choreograph a contemporary piece for the Junior group the week of June 18, 19, 20 from 4:00-7:30 pm. Fee is $200.

In addition there will be an opportunity for a group lyrical piece choreographed by Ms. Donna Pidel the week of June 25, 26, and 27th from 4:00-7:30 pm. Fee is $200.

It is nice to see the repertoire grow with our dancers and we are excited to see them perform in Masquerade competition April 13 - 15 at the Jim Rouse Theatre. Senior Royale Concert Dancers Margaux Lucas and Ellyssa Tillies are dancing 2 solos and 2 duets and our juniors are dancing a beautiful ballet to Stars and Stripes choreographed by Ms Jennifer Boothe.

Should you wish to become a Royale Concert Dancer Company member the next audition will be held Monday May 14th at 7:00pm. Students ages 9 years and older are invited to participate in the Company auditions. All Current and potential members are required to audition each year.

The audition consists of each dancer preparing a contemporary and classical piece of their choice.not to exceed 1:30 minutes for students level 4 and up. For those students who are Level 2 and 3, you will be required to show just one piece that you have choreographed, not to exceed 1:30 minutes.

Those dancers who are successful in their audition are accepted and become a member of our prestigious competition and performance team.
