Pre-Professional Classes

Ballet Royale's Pre-Professional Dancers Program is one of the most unique dance programs in the country; focusing on classical and contemporary dance yet simultaneously offering creative opportunities for students to express their individuality. Ballet Royale's pre-professional students are trained in the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, and also train in Modern, Jazz, Theatre Dance, Lyrical, and more. Developing students' strengths and building versatile repertoire is a Ballet Royale trademark. Graduates of the Pre-Professional Dancers Program are prepared to embark upon professional dance careers, or further their education in universities across the United States and abroad. World-famous alumni continue to enjoy successful careers in all genres of the dance world.

Acceptance into the 2011-2012 Pre-Professional Dancers Program is through invitation or private audition. Candidates must be 12 years old or older by September 2011. Interested students are requested to contact Ballet Royale via phone or email to schedule an appointment with the Director.

Level 5A/B - Classical Ballet Technique

4:00-5:30pm (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri)

3:45-5:15pm (Thurs)
Pointe work is added on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Level 6 - Classical Ballet Technique

4:00-5:30pm (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri)

3:45-5:15pm (Thurs)
Pointe work is added on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Level 7 - Classical Ballet Technique

4:00-5:30pm (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri)

3:45-5:15pm (Thurs)
Pointe work daily.

Modern Technique

5:45-6:45 pm (Monday)
Levels 5-7

Theatre Dance

7:00-8:15 pm (Monday)
Levels 5-7

"Dance Major" College Preparation

6:30-7:30 pm (Wednesday)
Levels 5-7

Jazz/Hip Hop

6:30-7:30pm (Thursday)
Levels 5-7

Lyrical Dance

6:00-7:00 pm (Friday)
Levels 5-7

Class schedules are subject to change and enrollment is based on availability

Ballet Royale and the Pre-Professional Dancers Program have received many prestigious awards, including:

  • Youth America Grand Prix, Outstanding School
  • Youth America Grand Prix, Outstanding Teacher
  • New England Ballet Awards, Outstanding Original Choreography (Donna Pidel)
  • North American Ballet Festival, Choreographic Prize (Donna Pidel)
  • Platinum medal and special awards at regional and national competitions such as Dance Educators of America, Bravo!, Hall of Fame Dance Challenge, and more.

Tuition:
Upon registration, first months tutition payment plus a $20 registration fee is required. All tuition and fees are non-refundable.

*Ballet Royale, uniform requirements will be mailed to each student following the completion of your registration.
