Daily technique classes are offered at several levels to accommodate the rising skills of the young dancer. Each student is placed in the class and level most appropriate for his or her development, and is evaluated at the end of the year to assess placement for the following year.

Pas de Deux • Tap • Variations
Ballet Technique in Levels 5, 6, 7, and 8 increases in difficulty. Pointe work is extended in duration. Variations from classical ballet repertoire are taught. At these levels, the students attend class four to six days a week, taking one to three classes each day. Emphasis is placed on developing the artistry of the dancers as well as the evolution of their technique. Advanced dancers prepare for college auditions or professional performance opportunities and are guided toward choosing the college or University that will continue to enhance their dance and education.

AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE NATIONAL TRAINING
 

The American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum (ABT) is a new breakthrough program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.

OPEN CLASSES
 

For Experienced Dancers and the Teen and Adult Novice, come experience the excitement of
a New York Dance atmosphere at the Ballet Royale in Columbia! The Open Classes follow the
Schedule of Events for the School Year.

Although these classes are held on a drop-in basis, please fill out a registration form with the class
(or classes) you are interested in attending. Tuition is $15.00 per single class, or $130 for a 10-class
card, which is good for 3 months.
